The home staging consult involves a detailed walkthrough of your home and is accompanied by a written report/checklist outlining specific recommendations to prepare your home for the market. These recommendations can range from simple decluttering and removal or personal mementoes, to painting and minor repairs. We will also suggest furniture placement and room configurations to help make your home look as spacious and welcoming as possible.
After the consult, you have one of two options: if you’re handy and have the time, you can opt to implement the recommendations outlined in the report on your own; or, Maddex Interiors can make arrangements to have the required tasks completed on your behalf.
The home staging report will identify areas in your home that we believe would benefit from attention prior to your home being listed on the market. Many people don’t have the skills or, more commonly, the time required to complete these tasks on their own. In these cases, Maddex Interiors can arrange to have these tasks completed on your behalf. In addition to our own decluttering, organizing and packing services, we have developed a network of trusted professionals that specialize in a range of home improvement services, including painters, plumbers, electricians, etc.
Once the consult and prep work are complete, there is one additional step to keep in mind to help ensure your home is looking its best when it hits the market – showcasing. Showcasing involves adding those perfect little finishing touches that make your home warm and welcoming and appeal to prospective buyers.
Depending on your particular needs and budget, we can help you determine which rooms in your home would most benefit from showcasing. To complete the showcasing, we can either use items from your own home or items can be leased from our inventory of accessories and furniture pieces.
